About us

Why My New Start?

At My New Start, we know selling an as is where is home is not just a property decision, it is often an emotional one too. That is why we focus on making the process simple, honest, and personal from the very beginning. We specialise in buying earthquake-damaged and badly run-down homes in Christchurch and Canterbury, and we work directly with homeowners to provide a clear path forward without hidden costs or agent fees.

What sets us apart is the way we work with people. You deal directly with Kane Lawson and Ronan Murphy throughout the process, so communication stays clear, questions get answered properly, and nothing gets lost between multiple parties. Our approach is built on fairness, personalised service, and a transparent, simple process, because we believe homeowners deserve to feel informed and supported at every step.

We have helped over 400 homeowners move on from difficult property situations, and that experience has helped us build a strong local reputation for being reliable, respectful, and true to our word. Across the testimonials on our site, homeowners repeatedly describe the process as stress-free, fair, easy to deal with, and more trustworthy than other options they considered.

For us, it is about more than buying houses. It is about helping people move forward with confidence and giving them the fresh start they have been looking for.
